Ep.39  LAWRENCE GOWAN - STYX
Listen Below:

STYX garnered a huge following in the 70s and 80s with a fusion of hard rock, prog and acoustic styles that saw them sell more than 50 million records worldwide and have a string of hits with songs like "Babe", "The Best of Times", "Mr Roboto" and "Show Me The Way".

Following Dennis DeYoung's departure in 1999, Lawrence Gowan has been lead vocalist and keyboard player with the band, joining after he himself had had a glittering solo career in Canada with his own catalogue of Gold and Platinum selling singles and albums.

In this wide ranging interview we hear all about his Scottish roots, his solo days, how he joined Styx and how that felt to be asked, all about the bands new album 'Crash of the Crown' as well stories about Ringo Starr, Jon Anderson (YES) and Alex Lifeson (Rush).
